A Carl Klason Award for the Best Student Paper was given to:

Julen Ibarretxe Uriguen, DSM Research, the Netherlands / Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, for his research on ‘Fractionated and homogeneous nucleation in waterborne polymer dispersions’.  Supervisors: Vincent Mathot (DSM Research / K.U.Leuven) and Gabriel Groeninckx (K.U.Leuven),

during the 12-th Annual POLYCHAR World Forum on Advanced Materials which took place at the University of Minho in Guimaraes (the original capital of Portugal) on January 6-9, 2004. The full Program can be seen at http://www.unt.edu/POLYCHAR/ .

Julen (from Spain) is an EC Marie Curie Industry Host Fellow at DSM Research, doing his PhD at the K.U.Leuven.
